Who We Are
Our Vision Helps Bridge Gaps within Our Community
The corporate purpose of yOCA Foundation is to help strengthen the quality of life for families within our communities of all diverse ethnicities through economic development. yOCA Foundation is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in our community by providing access to high-quality academic programs. One of the ways we do this is through yOur Children's Academy [dba Our Children's Academy]. As such, yOCA Foundation carries out its public charity activities and serves as an aid to support yOur Children’s Academy's daily operations and expansion efforts to incorporate a high-quality Kindergarten through 3rd Grade academic sector by the year 2027. Our programs establish a strong foundation of those early learning experiences children need to promote student success and close achievement gaps from Birth to 3rd Grade.

Our Impact
Our Impact Helps Families Thrive
yOCA Foundation also serves as a bridge to help ensure that families within our community have opportunities for public access to sustainable jobs, parenting resources, life's essentials, and tools that promote a healthy physical and emotional well-being standard of living.
As “the village" supports that many families need, our vision helps build a more resilient community, strengthen relationships, and change the outlook on life... one family at a time!
Our Priority
Unlocking Potential Through Resources, Training, & Inclusion
The priority of the yOCA Foundation is twofold: to 100% invest in yOur Children’s Academy’s operating costs and its expansion to add a high-quality K-3rd Grade education program; and, to impact the economic development and quality of life for families of all diverse ethnicities within our community.
Aside from maintaining quality educational programs, the investments of yOCA Foundation are made with the recognition that essential life needs and community partnerships must be met before parents can adequately provide for themselves, their children, or take an active role in their child’s early learning development. Training must be comprehensive and effective, and a sense of community belonging is necessary for these vital partnerships between parents, schools, and the community to thrive.
It is important to us that we help families achieve this sense of inclusion!
We collaborate with local businesses and organizations to maximize our impact!

Community Involvement
We owe it to our families to be a partner in helping parents obtain what they deserve most: the chance to reach their full potential as productive citizens and their child’s first teachers.
Parental partnerships with school and community are the most influential factor for fostering success in this area. All members of our communities must be given equal opportunities to bond over shared experiences and not feel limited or excluded for reasons beyond their control.
Volunteering opportunities, community events, and a sense of village support not only help families achieve global citizenship but also foster connections and build lasting social networks that can have a profoundly positive impact.

Education & Training
A significant part of providing parents with the essential tools to thrive and become effective contributors in their communities and their children’s early development is by offering training programs on skills and competencies that are essential for today’s parenting and work environments.
We believe that one of the keys to cultivating a love of lifelong learning is to create and maintain stimulating educational spaces for both children and parents. To make the most of investments and ensure that all educational spaces remain effective, we sustain them with ongoing materials, training tools, and financial support.
By making training programs enjoyable for parents, we provide a break from the pressures of life that they experience every day.

Life's Essentials
Families can not thrive if their basic needs are not met. That’s why we take great care in connecting our supporters’ generous in-kind donations of life’s essentials with families that need them most.
Whether it’s conducting food drives during the holidays, collecting new clothing, distributing children’s toys, giving gift cards for daily support, or supplying needed items when they're most needed, these efforts will have a constructive influence on the lives we serve.
We at yOCA Foundation believe that access to basic necessities is a fundamental human right, not a privilege afforded to a select few.
By helping us invest in our communities, our partners are making a lasting impact on the lives of so many families.

High-Quality Education
yOur Children's Academy is a high-quality Early Child Development and Preschool Center that serves children from Birth to Age 6. The Academy is currently a 4-Star rated school through the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education and is in the process of expanding its academic program to include K through 3rd Grade.
The Academy prides itself on providing our community parents with a quality early learning program that incorporates developmentally appropriate practices in building those pivotal foundational supports needed during the first eight years.
The Academy employs educators with certifications/degrees or those willing to obtain them. The Academy's focus maintains a healthy and conducive learning environment, where staff members love their job, children feel nurtured, and parents are heard.
